Cavalier King Spaniel

Cavalier King Spaniel

The Cavalier King Spaniel is the perfect four-legged companion. With his playful, happy, affectionate nature and a few kisses, he tears everyone off their feet. It is also an excellent choice for children and the elderly. It is very similar to the King Charles Spaniel, it is only because of its larger stature and longer nose that we can tell the two breeds apart. The Cavalier King Spaniel is officially a companion dog. The coat can be long, silky, rich, and slightly wavy.

Four color variations are black and brown; the tricolor, black-white-tan; chestnut red and the already mentioned blenheim, i.e. white-chestnut brown. Its head is almost flat between its skull and its ears. Her eyes are large, dark brown. The ears are long, hairy, drooping. The nose is black, longer than that of King Charles Spaniels. Its movement is free and elegant. Height at the withers 30-35 cm depending on sex, weight 5-8 kg. Life expectancy is 9-14 years. Thanks to the supple nature and the sophisticated intelligence of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, he acquires basic obedience tasks that are indispensable in everyday life practically unnoticed. Since he is passionate about his master - or rather his whole family, there is almost no need to teach him things that require special training for people of other races. Of course, no Cavalier is born with previous knowledge, so of course, from an early age, like any other dog, you have to consistently spoil your mind, only the speed of progress and the result sometimes become much more spectacular. As a dog with a sensitive soul, the Cavalier's upbringing and training is only possible with a gentle attitude.
