Bolonka

Bolonka

The Bolonka (Bolonka Zwetna Boloneser) is a Bitchon breed from Italy that was only found in Russia and is hardly known internationally today. His name means "dog dressed in colors".
A calm, good-natured, affectionate breed, but wary of strangers. He is a small dog with a really pleasant appearance, only 20-28 cm at the withers, weighs only 3-4 kg and has a long, silky, wavy or curly coat. According to the Bolonka Zwetna standard, it can be found in all colors, but white is the exception. He has slightly raised, hanging ears, a black or brown nose, and brown eyes.

Due to its long fur, it is more suitable for keeping in apartments. He has a thick undercoat, the length of which is almost the entire length of the dog's body. It requires regular, daily grooming to prevent tangles and clumping. It is advisable to enlist the help of a canine beautician so that you can easily groom his silky coat.
Selected from the right breed, Bolonka Zwetna Bolognese can beautify our everyday lives for up to 15 years. Fortunately, he is only conditionally susceptible to diseases such as patellar luxation, hip dysplasia or progressive changes in the retina. All of this can be noticed and treated in good time through appropriate and regular veterinary checks.
